For a long time, I'd told myself that I wanted to get through all of the great classic books, but put it off because it seemed like too much to handle. In August of 2015, I finally decided that I was going to get started. So I made the time to sit down for at least a half hour each day to get some reading done, and I've been amazed at how much I've gotten done.
My initial list was created using data published in this reddit post. The poster compiled eleven different lists of the 100 greatest books. I reduced that list to books that appeared on at least three of the lists, for a total of 124 books, of which I had not read 102. I order to break things up, I also created a list of science-fiction and nonfiction books that I wanted to read, and I currently rotate between those three lists.
